Gallbladder removal for Vihaan: covering what insurance won't
After a benign brain tumor, Vihaan was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Vihaan was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in November. The surgeon at Mysuru Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $800 short.
my brother has been in and out of Mysuru Community Hospital since November. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Vihaan struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Vihaan won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
