Gallbladder removal for Kamran: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled gallbladder removal in December is out of reach without help covering $450 of the cost.

Kamran was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in September. The surgeon at Abbottabad Orthopedic Institute recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $560, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $450 short.
my son has been in and out of Abbottabad Orthopedic Institute since September. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $560 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kamran struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Kamran won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
