Gallbladder removal for Hoa: covering what insurance won't

Hoa was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in June. The surgeon at Newcastle General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $5,250 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Newcastle General Hospital since June. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hoa struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Hoa won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
