Galina received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After a cut in working hours, Galina is 4 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in September, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $700.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $700 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $35
• Rent arrears (4 months): $570
• First month of rent as a buffer: $95

So sorry you're going through this, Galina. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Best of luck, Galina. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Lviv.
Take care, Galina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My husband and I read this together.
