Gabriel was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at Swansea University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Gabriel is 42, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Swansea University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,150 • Scans and lab work: $1,550 • Transport to Swansea University Hospital: $890 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $250 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,510 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Leonardo

Updates from Leonardo

  1. We're at 50% thanks to 80 of you. I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($2,236 in total) the plan for scans and lab work is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($892). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
