Naufal, my grandfather, passed away on 6 December after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 86 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 December.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Naufal to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Malang hospice.
Where the $850 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $530
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $180
• Transport of the deceased: $55
• Memorial gathering for the family: $85
