Yash, my grandfather, passed away on 9 June after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 73 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 23 June. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Yash to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Aurangabad hospice. Where the $550 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $270 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $200 • Transport of the deceased: $30 • Memorial gathering for the family: $50 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
