Kehinde, my sister, passed away on 13 September after a road accident. She was 54 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Kehinde to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $750 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $570 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $125 • Transport of the deceased: $40 • Memorial gathering for the family: $15 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
