Sandesh, my uncle, passed away on 16 June after complications from pneumonia. He was 39 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 28 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sandesh to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
