Funeral costs for Nithya's father, Rajesh
Nithya lost her father suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $900.

Rajesh, my father, passed away on 1 June after a short illness. He was 88 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 14 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Rajesh to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Transport of the deceased: $25
• Funeral home services and casket: $600
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $275

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nithya.
Transport of the deceased is $25 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
