Saanvi, my grandmother, passed away on 10 June after a short illness. She was 82 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 20 June. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Saanvi to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $950 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $480 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $300 • Transport of the deceased: $100 • Memorial gathering for the family: $70 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Mohit

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($177 in total) I made the first payment toward memorial gathering for the family. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
