Aaliyah, my wife, passed away on 16 August after complications from pneumonia. She was 38 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 31 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aaliyah to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
