Shuai, my grandfather, passed away on 31 December after a stroke. He was 91 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 17 January. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Shuai to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $5,700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $4,200 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $610 • Transport of the deceased: $420 • Memorial gathering for the family: $470 Thanks for being kind about this.
