Ochieng, my husband, passed away on 28 January after a road accident. He was 29 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 4 February.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ochieng to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Funeral home services and casket: $270
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $240
• Transport of the deceased: $75
• Memorial gathering for the family: $65
