Kevin, my brother, passed away on 7 March after a short illness. He was 43 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 March. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Kevin to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Gulu hospice. Where the $800 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $400 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $290 • Transport of the deceased: $45 • Memorial gathering for the family: $65 Every share and every dollar helps. - Kamau

Thank you. If you're in Gulu I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Appreciate you taking the time.

      • you're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

        • praying for you. I hope things turn around soon. Please keep us posted
