Funeral costs for Genet's husband, Bereket
Genet lost her husband suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $500.

Bereket, my husband, passed away on 31 December after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 67 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 7 January.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Bereket to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
Where the $500 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $270
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $150
• Transport of the deceased: $45
• Memorial gathering for the family: $35
