Funeral costs for Gauri's husband, Jay
After the sudden passing of Jay, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.
🇮🇳 Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India1,399 views
Jay, my husband, passed away on 15 April after complications from pneumonia. He was 78 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 April.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Jay to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $800 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $480
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $190
• Transport of the deceased: $75
• Memorial gathering for the family: $55

Take care, Gauri. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home!
