Funeral costs for Claire's father, Leo
Claire lost her father suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $5,500.

Leo, my father, passed away on 17 September after a short illness. He was 89 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 29 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Leo to have a dignified farewell.

The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $2,100
• Transport of the deceased: $660
