Anyango, my wife, passed away on 27 September after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 92 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Anyango to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $370 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $220 • Transport of the deceased: $80 • Memorial gathering for the family: $30 With deep gratitude, Akoth
