Friendly visitor needed for an 83-year-old neighbor in Bristol
Sebastian lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Sebastian, who's 83. Sebastian lives alone in Bristol, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Sebastian loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

good luck, Julian. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Bristol
Sending love, Julian. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick
Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
