Friendly visitor needed for an 82-year-old neighbor in Newcastle upon Tyne

I'm writing for my neighbor Amira, who's 82. Amira lives alone in Newcastle upon Tyne, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Amira loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
