Friendly visitor needed for an 82-year-old neighbor in Houston

I'm writing for my neighbor Adriana, who's 82. Adriana lives alone in Houston, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Adriana loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
