Friendly visitor needed for an 81-year-old neighbor in San Jose

I'm writing for my neighbor Paisley, who's 81. Paisley lives alone in San Jose, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 832 kilometers away.
Paisley loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
