Friendly visitor needed for an 81-year-old neighbor in San Antonio

Hua lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Hua, who's 81. Hua lives alone in San Antonio, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Hua loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hang in there, Xin. Hope the doctors have good news. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.

    • Sending love. Get well soon. Don't give up
