Friendly visitor needed for an 80-year-old neighbor in Kolkata
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Tejas is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Tejas, who's 80. Tejas lives alone in Kolkata, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Tejas loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Coimbatore this morning. Love from Coimbatore
Hope you get there. Sent it to 5 people at work.
Stay strong, Sandesh. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Hope it all works out, Sandesh. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings.
