Friendly visitor needed for a 91-year-old neighbor in London

Maverick lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Maverick, who's 91. Maverick lives alone in London, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Maverick loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
