Friendly visitor needed for a 74-year-old neighbor in Bornova

I'm writing for my neighbor Barış, who's 74. Barış lives alone in Bornova, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 610 kilometers away. Barış loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
