Friendly visitor needed for a 73-year-old neighbor in Chennai

I'm writing for my neighbor Gopal, who's 73. Gopal lives alone in Chennai, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 225 kilometers away. Gopal loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
