Freedom Park needs a skate park - Clinton's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 128 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Materials: $310 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $95 • Tools hire and delivery: $115 Thanks for being kind about this. - Clinton
