Freedom Park needs a rainwater harvesting system - Rafael's neighborhood project
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Freedom Park that will serve 290 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $240, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 290 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $800 goes:
• Materials: $500
• Permits and inspections: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $140
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
