Freedom Park needs a free library and reading room - Levi's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $3,000 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,000. It will serve about 166 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,000 goes: • Materials: $2,550 • Permits and inspections: $290 • Tools hire and delivery: $160 I hope life is good to you.
