Freedom Park needs a covered market stall space - Sofia's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $950. It will serve about 532 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $950 goes: • Materials: $760 • Permits and inspections: $25 • Safety equipment and signage: $75 • Tools hire and delivery: $90 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Sofia
