Freedom Park needs a community garden - Aarti's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $650 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $50, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 573 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $430
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
