Freedom Park needs a community fridge - Pablo's neighborhood project
Volunteers in San Diego are raising $2,400 for a community fridge at Freedom Park.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,400.
It will serve about 523 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Materials: $1,450
• Permits and inspections: $180
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $490
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
