Flood in Thủ Đức: help the Riverside neighborhood rebuild
After the flood, families in the Riverside neighborhood need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇻🇳 Thủ Đức, Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam1,645 views
The flood hit the Riverside neighborhood on 29 March. My home was one of 55 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $290
• Clean water and purification supplies: $140
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $160
• Food parcels for displaced families: $290
• Tools and labor for repairs: $170
I hope life is good to you.

how is Bích doing now?
hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Bogra but we're thinking of you. Take care
More neighborhoods should do this. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
