Flood in Seoul: help the Northside district rebuild
After the flood, families in the Northside district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flood hit the Northside district on 28 July. My home was one of 72 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,000
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,450
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $340
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,660

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Seoul.
