Flood in Saint-Denis: help the Lakeview district rebuild
The flood damaged 37 homes in the Lakeview district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit the Lakeview district on 16 March. My home was one of 37 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,650 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,600
• Clean water and purification supplies: $960
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $760
• Food parcels for displaced families: $840
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,490

Sending love. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Jakarta but we're thinking of you.
Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Saint-Denis
so sorry you're going through this, Yann. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
