Flood in Nice: help Eastgate village rebuild
Neighbors in Eastgate village are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit Eastgate village on 21 April. My home was one of 58 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $6,450 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,950
• Clean water and purification supplies: $430
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,050
• Food parcels for displaced families: $860
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,160
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rahma!
It's all in the list in the story. roofing sheets and timber is the big one at $2,950, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
Take care, Rahma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Praying for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Thinking of Nice.
Wishing you the best, Rahma. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope July is when things finally get easier.
rooting for you. Great idea, hope you get there. God bless
great idea, hope you get there. After 11 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
