Flood in Epe: help the Hillcrest district rebuild
Neighbors in the Hillcrest district are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇳🇬 Nigeria200 views
The flood hit the Hillcrest district on 15 April. My home was one of 82 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $450 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $250
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $95
• Clean water and purification supplies: $105
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Best of luck, Ronke. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Stuttgart.
You're not alone, Ronke. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Epe.
