Flood in Bristol: help the Greenfield district rebuild
The flood damaged 71 homes in the Greenfield district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit the Greenfield district on 13 September. My home was one of 71 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $7,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,650
• Clean water and purification supplies: $710
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,200
• Food parcels for displaced families: $720
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,220
With deep gratitude,
Cynthia

Keep going. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Bristol.
Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
More neighborhoods should do this. Greetings from Shubra.
You're not alone. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 14 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Keep going, Cynthia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
