Fitria's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled cataract surgery in February is out of reach without help covering $650 of the cost.

In November I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Jakarta Selatan Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for February. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $810, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $650 short.
Doctors at Jakarta Selatan Regional Medical Center told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a hotel cleaner, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $810 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a hotel cleaner have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

• Physiotherapy sessions: $65
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $540
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
