Fire in the settlement in Kasarani: help the Harbor settlement rebuild
After the fire in the settlement, families in the Harbor settlement need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The fire in the settlement hit the Harbor settlement on 22 August. My home was one of 77 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $280
• Clean water and purification supplies: $85
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $185
• Roofing sheets and timber: $550
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Sent it to 40 people at work. Take care
