Fighting thyroid cancer: help Howard afford treatment in Oakland

Howard was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. The oncology team at Oakland Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Howard is 42, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Oakland Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
