Fighting thyroid cancer: help Fatima afford treatment in Mansoura
Fatima is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Fatima was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at Mansoura Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Fatima is 51, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mansoura Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
