Fighting thyroid cancer: help Declan afford treatment in Reading

Declan was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in March. The oncology team at Reading University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Declan is 36, worked as a bakery worker until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Reading University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
