Alejandra was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May. The oncology team at the Alcalá de Henares Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Alejandra is 27, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Alcalá de Henares Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
