Fighting stomach cancer: help Shweta afford treatment in Nagpur
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Nagpur Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In August I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. My oncology team at Nagpur Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in December. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 45, I worked as a taxi driver until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Nagpur Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Transport to Nagpur Cancer Centre: $70
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $890
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $140
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
