Fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer: help Ömer afford treatment in Üsküdar
8 rounds of treatment are planned at Üsküdar Cancer Centre; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Ömer was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September. The oncology team at Üsküdar Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Ömer is 57, worked as a shop owner until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Üsküdar Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
this could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Üsküdar.
