Ciudad de México
Nicolás was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at Ciudad de México University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Nicolás is 26, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ciudad de México University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,050 • Scans and lab work: $390 • Transport to Ciudad de México University Hospital: $270 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240 • Household costs while unable to work: $550 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Mariana
