Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Teresa afford treatment in Tucson
Supporting Teresa through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to Tucson University Hospital, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 Tucson, Arizona, United States1,296 views
Teresa was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in June. The oncology team at Tucson University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Teresa is 39, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tucson University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $12,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Scans and lab work: $1,550
• Transport to Tucson University Hospital: $1,250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $760
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,440
Thanks for reading all this.

What's already covered and what's the $12,000 for?
Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $7,000. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
good luck, Liam. Looking forward to the next update. Love from Dasmariñas.
Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Machakos so I could bring a meal
You're not alone, Liam. Shared it with a few friends. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Tucson.
Keep going, Liam. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Liam. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 11 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
wishing you the best, Liam. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted. God bless.
